BCC - Club Information
About the Boise Camera Club
The Boise Camera Club, Inc. (BCC), founded in November of 1934, is a non-profit, social organization made up of individuals with a common interest in photography. The club's membership consists of every skill level from the beginner to the advanced amateur/professional. A common goal is to share knowledge, experiences, and camaraderie gained by learning from each other. For additional enjoyment and encouragement, the club engages in inter/intra club competition. Being a member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and the Columbia Council of Camer a Clubs (4 C's), our club enters various competitions through these organizations. Club Meetings
We meet every Tuesday at 7 PM. Each week is devoted to different areas of photography. You'll find us at this location. The first Tuesday is the General Meeting, the second Tuesday is the Print Workshop, the third Tuesday is the Projected Image Workshop (slides and digital images), and the fourth Tuesday is the 3 D Workshop and our Study Group Night. Information on each of these monthly events is under the Meeting tab in the menu bar above.
Membership
The BCC has two types of membership: Regular and Life. The Regular a membership is based on a calendar year beginning in January. You must be a Regular member to enter photographic competitions. The annual cost for membership is $30.00. The club also awards Life membership to select members. Membership is open to anyone of any age, and the BCC would especially like to encourage younger people to join.
The Viewfinder Newsletter
The BCC publishes a monthly newsletter "The Viewfinder" which is available for download on the newsletter menu tab. One year's worth of newsletters are archived on this site.
