Boise Camera Club - 3 D
The Boise Camera Club has a soft spot for 3 D and experts to help anyone interested learn about this unique type of photography.
The 3 D section of the BCC is for true 3 D or stereo photography where a separate, and slightly different, left and right image are combined to present the viewer with an immersive three dimensional image. This can be done by using a dedicated 3 D or stereo camera that has two lens mounted in a single body, a 3 D or stereo lens or image splitter attached to a single camera, two separate cameras mounted side by side, or a single camera that is moved laterally between exposures. The images can be recorded on slide film, print film, or digitally and viewed in a variety of ways including polarized projection, side by side prints in old Holmes viewers, on computer monitors, as red/cyan anaglyph prints, etc.
Currently we do not have scheduled meetings for 3 D. But specially scheduled meetings can be held whenever interest is expressed.
The club will provide a projector, screen, and polarized glasses (for either film or digital images). If you wish to share other formats such as side by side prints, anaglyphs, medium format slides, ViewMaster, etc. you will need to bring your own viewer or make arrangements ahead of time.
Our 3 D contact is David Kessner. Please email him with any questions and to find out what's happening in the magical world of 3 D.
